In terms of research,
the main focus of the Chair of Energy Systems and Energy Process Technology (LEAT) is on the
experimental investigation and theoretical description (numerical simulation) of the
processes in multiphase chemically reacting gas-solid systems in the field of energy
energy process engineering as well as the optimization of corresponding systems. This includes processes and
reactors of the energy supply (power plants and industrial furnaces), the primary
basic industries (ore smelting, lime and cement production, synthesis gas reformers,
hydrogen use) as well as the thermal utilization and treatment of waste and biogenic and industrial
and industrial residues (waste incineration, wood firing, co-incineration of processed residues).
residues). In addition to plant engineering aspects, the target parameters are always the minimization of
energy consumption as well as pollutant and CO2Emissionen.
In teaching we offer in the courses of studies
corresponding lectures.
